Forced Altruism is Tyrany

Mike Mulligan: I keep saying that forced altruism is a form of tyranny. The consent of the governed is paramount over "enlightened" norms of intellectuals, public officials and the clergy.

Question You’ll Never Hear at Democratic Debate: How Much of My Money Should I Be Allowed to Keep?

Tom Mattioli and Andy Merendino like this.

Tom Mattioli: The thing is, altruism cannot even BE "forced". Otherwise it's not altruism, it's merely "coercion"!

Mike Mulligan You're right of course. But the altruistic member of Robin Hood's band of merry mem forces others to behave as the oppressor claims altruism demands. See it? Think of public schools "requiring" public service of students in their off hours. The quality of virtue is perverted.
